What to eat in a pinch?

March 13th, 2010 by Louis

Some kids asked that question recently in FitClub and I found an answer!  One half of this can of minestrone soup has 5 grams of fiber and 2 grams or less of fat per serving.  Add your own chopped onions, celery, carrots, spinach, chopped tomatoes, and you really got something delicious for a quick and healthy meal.

Yeah, it cost only $1.99 for 2 servings of soup, plus some with the addition of extra veggies. When you’re looking for a ready made meal rescue, choose items with very low fat (2 grams or less) and have at least 3 or more grams of fiber — not that rare in broth or tomato based soups. WHAT TO LEAVE ON THE SHELF: Cream based soups.
